Description

Joy Division Still Double LP on Factory FACT40 (P) 1981

Rare (limited to 5000 copies) release of Joy Division's "Still" on double LP complete with hardback hessian cover and white satin ribbon on the spine. The inner gatefold sleeves open inwards towards the spine and contain further heavy grey card inner sleeves.

Groove notations:
"The chicken won't stop" (side A), chicken tracks across the grooves (sides B & C), "The chicken stops here" (side D).
"The chicken won't stop" is from the Werner Herzog "Stroszek" movie.

Please note that this is the original two record set released by Factory and purchased by me in October 1981. It has been stored upright in a protective plastic sleeve cover since then. It is not the inferior re-release from September 2007.

Someone asked if the hessian sleeve was "shiny" as in the photo... As I said in the description, the record has been stored in a protective plastic sleeve since 1981, it is this which has reflected the camera flash in the picture.
