This is a guaranteed, genuine 1979 UK first pressing of Joy Division’s masterpiece. It features the definitive hand-etched runout matrices by mastering engineer George Peckham ("Porky"):

CONDITION DETAILS:
Vinyl (EX / Excellent) to (NM / Near Mint):
The vinyl is in beautiful condition. It retains a brilliant, high-gloss sheen. Under intense, direct light, there are only a few incredibly faint, wispy hairline paper scuffs from the inner sleeve. There are no deep marks or feelable scratches. It has been play-tested and delivers a superb, dynamic listen with clean, quiet passages and no skips, loud pops, or distracting clicks.
Outer Sleeve (VG+ / Very Good Plus):
The iconic, heavily textured Peter Saville jacket (printed by Garrod & Lofthouse) is in great shape. The canvas-like texture is crisp. There are no seam splits, no tears, and no ink writing. It shows only light, honest shelf-wear, minor softening to the corners, and very light rubbing/whiteness typical for this delicate black cover. The spine remains fully intact and structured.
Inner Sleeve (VG+ / Very Good Plus):
Includes the original textured cardstock inner sleeve with square corners. The seams are completely solid with no splits. It shows only minor handling wear and faint age-toning.
SHIPPING & PACKAGING:
I am a collector myself and treat high-value vinyl with the utmost care.
The vinyl will be removed from the original printed inner sleeve and placed in a brand-new anti-static liner to prevent paper scuffs during transit.
Both the vinyl and original inner sleeve will be packed behind the outer jacket to entirely avoid seam splits.
The entire package will be housed in a protective outer poly-sleeve and shipped in a heavy-duty, reinforced cardboard vinyl mailer with extra stiffener inserts.
