Jr Walker & The All Stars - Road Runner/ Shoot Your Shot

(Tamla Motown TMG 559 UK 7" Single 1965)

This is a 1965 UK 1st pressing 7" Single in superb condition! The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has black "Tamla Motown" paper labels which have silver text. The labels have a 4 pronged centre. The labels have the "Sold in UK..." text. The record has 1st press TMG 559 A-1 and TMG 559 B-1 matrix numbers. These are machine stamped in the dead wax. The "KT" company tax code is machine stamped in the dead wax on both sides. The mother stampers are O 1 and O 1 respectively. This copy comes complete with its original generic orange & white "Tamla Motown" company paper sleeve. This has a die-cut wavy top opening area.

This is a genuine UK 1st pressing in superb condition! So hard to find in this condition. A classic Motown/ Northern Soul / Mod Dancer single. I have some other rare and collectible UK original 1960's Tamla Motown/ Northern Soul 7" Singles. This includes two other "Jr Walker & The All Stars" mid 1960's UK Tamla Motown 7" singles. These are the rare "Shake & Fingerpop"  and "Money Part 1 & Part 2" 7" singles. Neither of these releases charted in the UK. So please see my other listings.

Vinyl: Looks to be hardly Played! The vinyl still gleams like when it was first pressed. There is a very light 1 cm hairline surface mark on the B-side. This goes around the groove slightly. It hardly notices under a strong light. There is a minuscule 0.5 cm hairline surface mark. Again, this goes round the groove slightly. Ut hardly notices under a strong light. Otherwise, there are a few light, very mild or very minor surface paper sleeve rubs which are barely visible under a strong light. The original paper sleeve, over time, has left some light or very minor feint, or dull, surface paper marks on a few areas. These, again, can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, EXCELLENT+ condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition and show minimal spindle wear only.

The original "Tamla Motown" company paper sleeve is in Near Excellent condition. There is some light, very mild or very minor ringwear & fading. There are no seam splits.

I have play tested this single in its entirety & it plays Excellent+ to Near Perfect overall, & Perfect in many places. There is some very minor crackle in a very few quieter places. This is barely audible. There are no clicks or pops. A top audio copy!

I shall place the vinyl into a separate plain paper sleeve. This will protect the original company sleeve from any damage during the shipping process.

Traceable insurance is already included in the stated P&P price for this listing.

Discount is given on P&P for multiple purchases. I shall always weigh combined purchases to get a completely accurate price.  So please wait for the invoice to be sent before paying. Please see below for a more detailed description.

  >>  Grading Information All grading is very strict & adheres to 'Record Collector' specifications. However, I have fine tuned them & they are explained below. All vinyl is examined closely under a strong light & play tested.

MINT Condition = A perfect copy! Almost impossible to find like this.

NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, There may be a very few, very light paper surface sleeve rubs that can hardly be seen under strong light. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. The sleeve is virtually perfect - there is very minimal wear only.

EXCELLENT Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows minimal defects. There will be light, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs. There will be no scratches. The cover will be very nice & clean with maybe minimal creasing, ringwear or edge rubbing wear etc...

NEAR EXCELLENT Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times, but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only. The sleeve may have light, mild or very mild creasing, ringwear & very mild rubbing wear to the edges etc.... Overall, it will be a very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.

Very Good Condition = A well played but very decent overall copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears etc... The record will not be trashed!!

Please note that I also use "+" or "-" symbols for this grading. A plus symbol is obviously at the top end of "Very Good" & is really not far from being in "near excellent" condition. The minus symbol obviously means it is at the lower end. This will mean that it is near to being in "Good+" condition.
>>  Postage Rates

AN INVOICE WILL BE SENT TO YOU VERY SOON AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS. PLEASE WAIT FOR THIS BEFORE PAYING.

(Please note that these prices include packaging costs too)
Double LPs are classed as two LPs. Also gatefold sleeves, posters, inserts, etc.. can increase postage costs.

Please note that there are now VAT import charges from the UK into all EU countries. Anything under 150 Euros will need an IOSS number. VAT is paid at point of sale. For any items over 150 Euros in value. There will be a customs charge too. These vary, I believe, from country to country. Please check your relevant postal service online for details. Please note that these charges are beyond my control and are the law for outside parcels going into the EU.

All records will be sent in high quality vinyl box/ mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7" Single. I use a cruciform box for larger orders (3-6 LPs). All parcels will be marked "Fragile" and dispatch time will generally be between 1-3 days after payment.

I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve & place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve. In order to prevent seam splits. Depending on the inner sleeve; I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP(s).

I consider my postage & packaging costs to be very transparent & very fair. Packaging costs will generally be between £0.80 to £1.50. I am not adding any further costs for handling, etc...

If you are uncertain about any of the above, or just simply want some information regarding any item, please do not hesitate to contact me. I welcome any questions.

Remember to check out My Other Items Lots of rare & quality vinyl! Most are UK 1st Pressings. It is quite likely that there will be more records by this artist, or records in a similar vein.
