Juan Blanco - Musica Electroacustica Suite Erotica/Suite De Los Ninos - Areito LD-4442. The rarest and most sought after of all Cuban electronic LPs . A true masterwork of sheer electronic madness from the genius mind of Juan Blanco. Experimental, original, fascinating....this work was so un-Cuban and far ahead that it virtually imploded upon itself into oblivion. Difficult as it was for the masses to appreciate this exercise in controlled musical hysteria, it was shunned by the revolutionary minds, progressive rockers and traditionalist son makers. The positive of recording in a communist state meant that unlimited resources and studio time were allocated and this freedom allowed Juan Blanco resulted in what many hail as one of the greatest protagonists of electronic music. Suite Erotica/Suite De Los Ninos is considered his piece de resistance.
Released exclusively in Cuba, it was pressed in a small quantity and never reissued on vinyl or CD. Few copies have survived.
This LP has been played from start to finish. There are no skips or jumps. Both labels are clean and look new. Beautifully shiny vinyl - appears to have been played only a handful of times. The cover has ring wear as is typical of the thin Cuban sleeves of that time. There are small rips on the right side and small pieces have been torn (see pictures).
Overall grading: Cover: Good(-) Vinyl: Near Mint.
I have rated only a handful of Cuban LPs as Near Mint from the hundreds I have sold.
