The record below is NOT “new” so please do not expect to receive it in perfect condition. It will be the very best it can be for a 50-55 year old item

I play all “A” and many “B” sides on a 1960’s Monarch deck to make sure they play before they leave here. If a disc is described as being provided with an original Company Sleeve, please note that this too is 50-55 years old, and may have wear and tear such as writing or otherwise be mildly defaced. It may have some paper loss or small tears.

IN ADDITION: If you are one of the impatient buyers that Ebay seems to be infested with, this might not be the site for you, and this is why………………………!

I am a disabled seller, with a trapped nerve against the spinal column which prevents me from walking any distance. Posting is done by a friend, once a week, usually on a Thursday. If your payment misses this date, you may have to wait a week for the item but we will do our best, without guarantee, to beat these postage times. Please don’t complain about slow service or leave a poor mark – it will NOT help because I cannot go any faster and you will get my sales restricted so everybody loses.

Part of a large collection of female singers of the Fifties and Sixties, including many that do not turn up on Ebay very frequently, if at all.

HMV in the early to mid 1960's could and did come up with some really good soul/pop crossovers and some were adopted by the Northern Soul club fraternity (like Kenny Lynch's Movin' Away). This could easily be one of them - I'm not familiar with the artist but she did get herself onto the excellent RPM Records "Dream Babes" CD series (Vol. 3). This record is offered for resale after the previous buyer disappeared without notice. There are a few minor marks which pull it back from EX to EX minus but nothing sounds when you play the disc.

Large letter charges for a 7”, 45rpm record (20 cm x 20 cm x 1 cm) and weight up to half a kilo is £1.68 First Class. Strong mailing envelopes are 22p from Ebay suppliers, making the total postage cost £1.90.   This price is valid for one, two, three, four or five records.

Parcel post charges for a 12”, 33 rpm record (34 cm x 34 cm x 2 cm) and weight up to 2 kilos is £3.30 First Class. A strong mailing envelope, including a 12” stiffener, costs 30p from Ebay suppliers, making the total postage cost £3.60. 

EUROPEAN POSTAGE and PACKAGING:

I will post anywhere, but because of continued lost mail, even to major European countries, I will only use the Royal Mail’s International “Tracked and Signed” for service and their Europe rates start at £10.05. I am sorry about this but I cannot have buyers moaning at me when the loss/theft is down to others. Many other sellers feel the same way, but at least this should prevent loss or theft of your valuable record, and you can still get up to FIVE records for the same postal charge - it pays to buy more! Enquire for actual rates before bidding and wait for an invoice at the end.

OVERSEAS POSTAGE and PACKAGING:

As above, but rates start at £12.80.

The postage situation is in such a terrible mess because Ebay makes the seller pay the cost for lost mail WHICH IS EXTREMELY UNFAIR. By U. K. law, it should be the Royal Mail or other carrier who is responsible.  The Royal Mail will not consider an item lost until at least 15 working days or three weeks has passed, yet Ebay supports buyers in making claims against the seller before this time has elapsed?

My vinyl prices range from clearance items at £1.50, to the rare ones at around £25.00 to the finger-burners in the region of £100.00 - £150.00! Almost all will have the original centre intact and will be in the correct company sleeve where issued, though some will be replicas.

I use only two of the top grades (Very Good or Excellent) of the Record Collector system, with the addition of a plus or a minus sign, or the words Near Mint for exceptional items or where the item is difficult to fit elsewhere. I never use the condition Mint/Unplayed as that status cannot normally be proved to my satisfaction.
