I am selling off my personal collection of original UK first pressing vinyl albums to supplement a house move. It's sad to see them go but the money will come in useful. I have adopted the Record Collector magazine’s Grading Guide to describe the condition and I have also play-checked each album, so you can be confident about buying. The pictures are also of the actual album you are bidding on.

Description and Track List
This album (catalogue no. VO 2 (847 901 VTY)) is an original 1969 UK first pressing. It can be identified as such because it has the non-laminated gatefold sleeve on the Vertigo "large swirl" label, with the wording "VERTIGO" below the spindle hole and "A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT" text on the lower label rim. Cat# VO 2 appears on spine, top right rear of sleeve and on B-side label. Cat# 847 901 VTY appears on B-side label and rear of sleeve under VO2. IT IS A VERY COLLECTIBLE COPY AND IF YOU ARE A COLLECTOR IT SHOULD BE A GOOD INVESTMENT.
 
Juicy Lucy was the self-titled debut album by the saucy Anglo-American blues-rock band Juicy Lucy, who formed from the ashes of cult-favourite garage band the ‘Misunderstood'. The band name was inspired by a character in 'The Virgin Soldiers' and the eye-catching cover photograph for the debut album, which spans the front and rear of the sleeve, is portrayed by burlesque dancer Zelda Plum who was naked except for a covering of fruit.
 
Released in 1969 the music is a curiously heavy form of blues-rock, often played at break-neck speed. Although the album wasn’t a smash hit, it was a moderate success and produced a hit single with their version of the Bo Diddley song "Who Do You Love?" which was as fast and mean and dirty as any record could have been; a breakneck tour through the bayou swamps and dirt-track roads of the American South, powered by a guitar to make your fingers bleed.
 
Had the band stayed together who knows what heights they could have attained? But no matter how powerful Juicy Lucy might have been, it could not paper over the cracks that were already forming across the line-up, and by the time the band came to record its next album, the group that cut this one was already long gone. One can only dream of what they might have achieved had they stuck together.

Condition (using Record Collector Magazine grading)
I have tried to provide good quality large pictures of the album and sleeves. Please take the time to click through them and satisfy yourself of the quality of this LP. The pictures should speak for themselves.
Vinyl = NEAR MINT: The record has been played once or twice but is still in mint condition. Even in bright daylight I can only see one very faint mark on side A. Other than this and the original owner’s initials on the A side label it appears perfect. I have play-tested the album and there is absolutely no discernable lessening in sound quality. It’s also a good quality pressing with very little background noise.
Cover = VERY GOOD: The cover sleeve is in very good condition with normal wear and tear consistent with age and one flaw on the cover where the retailer removed a price sticker to re-price the album. There are no major defects.
 
 
Note
The record will be very well packaged and sent Royal Mail Small Parcel, which is the cheapest option.
