Blue and silver label, deep groove. Includes Nat Adderley, cornet; Jimmy Cleveland, trombone; Jerome Richardson, tenor sax, flute; Cecil Payne, baritone sax; John Williams, piano; Paul Chambers, bass; Kenny Clarke, drums; Quincy Jones, arranger. 10 tracks. 3 tracks J.J. Johnson, replaces Cleveland on trombone. On 3 other tracks Max Roach replaces Clarke on drums. Recorded in 1955. This is the first recorded “Cannonball” made for the EmArcy label. Notes on the back cover in black print. Cover: VG+. Intact and clean with some aging on the back cover. Front cover has some light discoloration under the lamination. This condition occurs on a number of EmArcy issues. This one is only moderate and has not severely affected overall picture. Slight peeling of the lamination on the insert edge. Record: Mint(-). Visually shows no wear. Possibly played only a few times. No marking. Except for a minor, very infrequent click, no surface noise. Fine copy. Audibly checked.
