Description

Julie Covington - The Beautiful Changes- EMI Columbia Stereo SCX 6466 1971

This is an ultra rare and sought after album with very few appearing for sale. This copy is in collectors' condition and I rate it at a minimum of Ex++

Matrix numbers Side 1 YAX 4221 - 4   Side 2 YAX 4222 - 2

Julie Covington (of Don't Cry For Me Argentina single fame and Rock Follies). This is a collection of tracks showing off Julie's stunning voice. This lady has a voice that would turn men's knees to jelly. It is velvet smooth and sexy yet with a hidden strength. Most of the tracks on the album were composed by her friends Pete Atkin and Clive James and reflect Atkin's sense for a beautiful haunting melody and Jame's clever and thought provoking lyrics. The final track to the set is a haunting adaptation of a poem by William Blake again with a stunning melody.

Vinyl: Ex+ High gloss both sides. Side 2 has a hairline surface mark having no effect on playing quality.

Labels: Both sides mint.

Dustcover: Near mint. EMI album promo style with slight age yellowing.

Cover: Front has matt textured finish. Front has extremely light disc rim pressure marking. Back has light disc rim mark. Bottom seam has some slight rub wear. Top seam is excellent. Spine is excellent. Very little rub to corners.

Tracks: Side 1 The magic wasn't there, Ice cream man, If I had my time again, He just don't appeal to me, Winter kept us warm, The beautiful changes. Side 2  Queen of lights, For instance, The standards of today, The original original honky tonk night train blues, Don't bother me now, Friendly island song, My silks and fine array.

Dealers please note this item will run to auction I won't take cash offers before the auction ends.

I am not a dealer. I am a private seller gradually disposing of my vinyl collection.  Please note that, whilst it is rare for items to be lost or damaged in the post I am unable to accept responsibility for any loss or damage by the postal services. Whilst I am happy to provide help, advice and proof of postage, all such claims remain the responsibility of the buyer. All items sold for more than £39 will be subject to an extra charge for 'signed for' posting (This is not usually very expensive) if buyer requires package to be covered for compensation to cover the, unlikely, loss in the post an extra charge will have to be added. If compensation cover is required buyers should contact me so that the full cost can be invoiced.

For payments received after 1st April postal charges on invoices may need to be altered to take effect of any increases or decreases in cost.
