Incredibly rare original promotional US issue of July’s album released by Epic Records in 1968. The first and only album of the British psychedelic band from London which existed between 1968 and 1969. Original 1st print cardboard Stereo cover with 2 stickers correcting the format, a white “Mono” sticker with the Epic Records logo on the front and a “This is a Monaural Record” sticker on the back. The back cover also contains a “Demonstration Not For Sale” red ink rubber stamp above the sticker. This currently listed promotional copy contains the white Epic Records BN-26416 label with a boxed “Radio Station Copy” banner and Epic’s logo on both sides. Pressed at the Columbia Records, Pitman, NJ plant, the vinyl contains the very early 1st -A1 / -A1 matrix numbers. The full matrix numbers Side 1 - XEM137850-1A 1 P 1A; Side 2 - XEM137851-1A P A2 featuring the “o” stamp, the identifier of Customatrix, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Columbia Records and CBS, Inc. that produced masters, mothers and stampers. The album comes with the original Epic Records white paper inner sleeve.

  The cover is graded as Excellent for the front and Strong Very Good Plus for the back. The glossy  front cover is very clean and doesn't have any shelf wear or ring wear, perhaps just a very light hint of it at the bottom. The back cover contains some light shelf wear as seen on the photos. The spine contains a fully readable text, only having some very light soiling. We grade the glossy vinyl as somewhere between Excellent Plus and Near Mint Minus. It retains its shiny factory lacquer only having a few very light and barely noticeable non-feelable surface marks as well as scuffs from the original inner sleeve which is in Near Mint condition. The snow white labels are in amazing Near Mint condition and don't have any scuffs, wear or spindle marks. The vinyl sounds great only having some very light occasional static which most likely would go away if the record was professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
