Description
Here we have an original 45 RPM single by Eva Foster and the Van Perry Quartet. Atlantic 997. The A-Side, "You'll Never Know", is the only side that Foster ever cut. Recorded in 1953, it's one of the rarest pieces in the Atlantic singles catalog. Foster is backed by the Van Perry Quartet, who also play the flip. The flip, "Waxin' for Maxie" is an instrumental cut by the Van Perry Quartet featuring a rare appearance by jazz musician, Frank Wess, on Saxophone. This 45 is a killer and in condition that you likely won't run across any time soon.
Record - VG++. This copy grades just under a NM-. Listen to the audio clip for sample.
Labels - VG+. Slight residue.
Listen to the samples and dig on this!
I use Goldmine (LP/45) & VJM (78) standards for record grading. Winning bidder to pay $4 for shipping within the U.S. Combined shipping discounted. International shipping is $14USD.
Note: The audio samples were recorded through a Crosley turntable into an input jack on my laptop. In other words, the recordings sound very compressed and are themselves of very poor recording quality. But, they are good for sampling the item's condition/play grade. Live playback through a decent sound system will sound dramatically better.
