Junior Wells’ Chicago Blues Band – Hoodoo Man Blues
Original Delmark stereo pressing, DS-9612. Record labels are DS-612-A / DS-612-B with the blue Delmark label and 7 West Grand, Chicago address.
This is the early pressing with Buddy Guy credited on the back cover as “Friendly Chap.”
The vinyl is in excellent condition and appears very clean. The jacket is also in excellent condition and retains the original cellophane, which is still largely intact. There is a small tear/wrinkle in the cellophane, as shown in the photos.

This is a beautiful example of one of the landmark Chicago blues albums of the 1960s.
The “Friendly Chap” designation is legitimate evidence of the early pressing, not just a collector’s nickname; the Library of Congress notes that Buddy Guy was credited that way on the initial releases.
