Extremely rare original LP from 1969. Junior’s Eyes are famous for being David Bowie’s backing band for a short while back in 1969.
This, their debut LP, is incredibly sought after and very rarely surfaces. Produced by Tony Visconti of Bowie/Bolan production fame.
Given to me by a relative who bought it at the time, it has hardly, if ever, been played.
The laminated cover with flipbacks and matt back cover is in VG condition. There is a bit of laminate lift on the top left corner and the spine corners are a bit bumped.
The spine is uncrushed with 100% legible name and title.
The top back plipback has slight rubbing and wear.
All three flipbacks secure. No writing, no tears no scuffing to back cover.
Overall VG Condition.
The vinyl is excellent. Hardly played. If at all! I can see no spindle marks at all!
Retains an "as new sheen" with only very slight wispy surface marks from being put in the original plain white inner.
The fantastic red Regal Zonophone labels are Excellent. No writing, tears, suffing. Excellent condition.
Playback is superb with only very slight crackle on the run ins. The music is not compromised at all. It is probably only a build up of dust over the years.
This is an EXCELLENT sounding visually EXCELLENT example of this very rare LP.
Overall this is a superb copy of an LP from Bowie’s history and the history of British Psych Prog rock.
The magic of Tony Visconti’s production adds to the collectability of this Very Rare Original British LP.
I am a collector and not a dealer. I know the rarity of this LP and it should go to the home of someone who appreciates it.
I am a huge Bowie fan, but you have to be realistic.
