Description

This is the original deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Jutta Hipp “At the Hickory House, Volume 1” on the Lexington Ave. labels of Blue Note BLP 1515.  The flat rim playing surface has a nice luster and appears to have no groove wear - the music comes across crisp and clean with no distortion; however, side 1 has several hairlines and plays with light intermittent tics throughout; Side 2 also plays with light intermittent tics throughout – including three at the intro and the first third of Track 2 from a needle drop.  The coated frame Lexington Ave. cover has 1” wear on the top seam, at the opening, and a neatly repaired split along the bottom seam; wear at the opening corners and along the opening on the front; the back slick shows light shelf wear, age toning, and a few 1/8” splits along the bottom of the opening.  Personnel include Peter Ind and Ed Thigpen.  $300.00.
