This record comes up very rarely and almost never seen sealed. Spoken word / proto-rap poetry from celebrated writer K. Curtis Lyle (Watts Writers Workshop) and Malinke Kenyatta with stark musical accompaniment from Julius Hemphill (World Saxophone Quartet). Released on the small Mbari label (Lyle’s own?) out of St. Louis, where Lyle moved in the early 70’s to teach English at Washington University.
