A must for the KARLHEINZ STOCKHAUSEN, MAURICIO KAGEL, DIETER SCHNEBEL, YORK HOLLER, ROBERT H.P. PLATZ, WILHELM KELLMAYER, WOLFGANG RIHM, Avant Garde/Experimental Music collector, this is the Rare Limited Edition 3-Lp Box Set, “Zeitgenoessische Musik in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, 10 1970-1980,” on the Harmonia Mundi/EMI Electrola label from Germany.  This comes with 37-page 12-inch Book.  This is Box No. 10 from the series that featured all avant-garde/experimental music production in Germany from the 50's to the end of the 70's, 10 boxes in total. No. 10 that is sold here is one of the more sought after boxes from this series, because it contains works from the 1970-1980 and from composers such as Stockhausen and  Kagel and this period is the most important for experimental composers, because of the breakthroughs that were achieved at that period, including many early electronic and experimental works. Works include: Stockhausen: Cancer zu Libra aus Sirius (electronic); Kagel: Furst Igor, Strawinsky; Schnebel: Schubert-Phantasie; Holler: Scwarze Halbinseln (electronic); Platz: Maro; Killmayer: Sinfonie III & Schumann in Endenich; Rihm: Wolfli-Lieder.  This deluxe release features a terrific book with texts and photos with the composers and their works. The records & book are in M- condition (they look new and unused), and box is in excellent condition, nearly new, with some very light wear on the cover that has taken some of the sheen off of the laminate. M- is my highest grade unless I know that the item is New. Nearly impossible to come accross a copy of this in such great condition.
