Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. TOP COPY!

  • 50 years of age ~ STILL IN ORIGINAL FACTORY CELLOPHANE
    Just uncovered this beauty:::

  • 1970 scarce first pressing ...one of the hardest to find of all Blue Cheer albums, and featuring stand out hard rock originals with strands of the Vincebus Eruptum era

  • Highlight tracks include "PILOT" being one of their best post '68 tracks with its infectious tough swing... and "Babaji" with its exotic head-zones...
    Blue Cheer exploded upon the scene with absolutely no apologies, exploding with "Summertime Blues" from the vital initial "Vincebus Eruptum" . This pivotal and groundbreaking album forged new territory in San Francisco Bay Area rock which introduced heavy rock and experimental guitar sound that was the blueprint for its entire genre. The "power trio" of Dickie Peterson, Leigh Stephens and Paul Whaley founded a style of experimentation that ushered in daring and HEAVY SOUNDS for decades to come.
    Enter, on "The Original Human Being", guitarist Gary Yoder -bringing his creative genius from the excellent groups Oxford Circle and KAK - to the forefront of Blue Cheer. Forging ahead with totally new musical design on every album they created, Blue Cheer never needed to repeat themselves musically!
    Gary Yoder so well understood the psychedelic scene that he was able to compose an entirely innovative dimension to Blue Cheer with founding member Dickie Peterson; in addition, utilizing the talents of (ex- Mint Tattoo) Norman Mayell and Ralph Burns Kellogg who contributed so much instrumentally and composition-wise, i.e. "Babaji - Twilight Raga" (a gorgeous sitar rock number that is amazing indeed). This is at once a hard rocking, sensual, melodious, cool grooves, & well executed record that deserves serious study.
    This well crafted and representative project displays an epitome of San Francisco psychedelia.
    Blue Cheer is best understood by appreciating each respective album viewed as its own entity, and appreciated as music that ranks among the most innovative of every style presented.
