KALEIDOSCOPE Faintly Blowing LP 1969 Fontana 1st Press VG/VG VERY RARE!

Almost impossible to find British Psychedelic Rock rarity in very good condition!!!

Very rare and collectable Kaleidoscope album released in 1969 on the Fontana record label and in very good condition.  

This is not a perfect copy of this album by any means so if you are looking for an excellent to mint copy this is not it.  

Having said that, getting a near mint copy of this 45 year old rarity is probably a near impossibility! 

Below I have given a detailed track by track description of the vinyl because there is minor surface noise, light clicks and light 

scratches and one jump.  I listened to it on headphones loudly to pick up every sound.  Actually, if you play it without headphones you don't really hear a lot of what I did but I needed to be critical. 

It was played on a Dual turntable with an Ortofon cartridge and stylus.

I try to be as honest with my grading of vinyl as possible and would never offer albums or singles that were anything less than in good condition 

(using the Record Collector Magazine Grading System as my guide – see below).  I clean (if required) and then play all the albums and singles I 

offer on e-bay before listing them.

Also, I supply a number of good quality photographs whenever possible. You need have no doubt what you are bidding on after checking these out.

All albums and 12" singles are sent out in card mailers with strong stiffeners.

Record Collector Magazine Grading for VERY GOOD:

VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. 

Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Side 1

1. Faintly Blowing - This is the track with the famous watermark which is on pretty much all of the copies of this album.  

I would say that the watermark is audible for approx. 15 seconds.  The rest of the track is fine with no loud pops or crackles.

2. Poem - Very minor surface noise audible but no loud pops or crackles.

3. Snapdragon - There is a light scratch on this track that you can feel with your fingertip.  

Having said that, it is fairly unobtrusive as it is only audible as a light click 5 times.

4. A Story From Tom Blitz - No problems with this track.  It played fine and sounded fine.

5. Love Song (For Annie) - There is a light scratch visible on this track but it is only audible for two minor clicks.

6. If You So Wish - There is one click/jump on this track unfortunately.  It jumped on my player but only clicked on a friend of mines.  

I don’t think it is that major but as I said before this is the sort of thing that makes this copy less than perfect.

Side 2

1. Opinion - This track is fine and plays perfectly.

2. Bless the Executioner - Some light surface noise is audible and a few very light clicks.

3. Black Fjord - This track is fine and plays perfectly.

4. The Feathered Tiger - Some light surface noise is audible and a few very light clicks.

5. I’ll Kiss You Once - There are some light clicks in this very short track.

6. Music - This track is fine and plays perfectly.

Condition of labels: In excellent condition with only minor spindle wear evident.

Condition of cover: In very good to excellent condition with only very minor signs of wear and creasing evident.  

The base of the sleeve is slightly worn but no large tears or anything major.  The text on the spine is perfectly visible.

 and the rest of the world as it is potentially an expensive item.
