Condition:

Record: EX- From a distance the record looks beautiful with a nice glossy luster. However, upon closer inspection you'll find some hairlines and light scratches of which some look like they may cause problems. I listened to the whole album and I can conclude that there are no skips, jumps and loud or moderate clicks and pops. The audio is loud and clear, most of the songs play EX or better with perhaps a little surface noise or the odd soft crackle in between tracks. Opening tracks of both sides play with some more crackles, particularly during the first few revolutions, but these are not too intrusive or overpowering. Quieter tracks B2 and B4 also suffer from incidental soft crackly noises.

Sleeve: VG (Unlaminated flip back cover. Front has very mild creases and a hint of ring wear. Spine and seams are intact but lightly worn. Mildly yellowed back has some writing and crease at upper left corner, light ring wear at top and moderately worn lower flip)

Inner: VG (yellowed with age as Fontana inners do; a new poly lined inner is also added)

GRADING

Near Mint (NM) This is the highest grading and means that the record or sleeve is in flawless condition. I grade strictly, so NM- is usually as high as it gets. An inaudible paper scuff or a very lightly worn corner will lead to the record/sleeve being graded as NM-.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have very minor wear and/or creasing. Any flaws will be mentioned in the description.

Very Good (VG) The record has been played many times and displays slight deterioration in sound quality. There are noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches, but they do not necessarily affect play. Normal wear and tear on the cover, without any major defects, is acceptable. Any flaws will be mentioned in the description.

Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and/or scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. Any flaws will be mentioned in the description. Records in this condition will only be listed if they are very collectible.

Dear watchers and bidders. I think I may have graded the condition of the vinyl too generously. Upon listening to the album on another deck, I found that track B1 has some groove wear in the first quarter of the song. Also, some of the mentioned soft clicks and pops are in fact moderate ones. I know this is a very valuable item and to avoid any disappointment, I’d like to change the vinyl condition grading into VG. This is nevertheless a very worthy copy and much more than just a collection filler. The audio is still very enjoyable. Hello again, in the revision, I meant VG+, not VG. As far as comparison goes, the record is in better shape than its cover. There's something nerve wrecking about listing valuable records that are not perfect yet great... :-) Best wishes, kinkoski
