KALEIDOSCOPE TANGERINE DREAM
Issue : RARE UK 1st MONO PRESS Label : FONTANA Catalogue No : TL 5448
Matrix : 687969 1L/1 - 2L/1
This 1967 exceptionally rare UK 1st press is on the earliest black and silver Fontana label. It is complete with the very earliest 687969 1L/1 - 2L/1 matrix, the original plain company inner sleeve and the original unlaminated lightweight flipback sleeve. The rear of the sleeve is signed to Katie and Charlotte by the lead singer Peter Daltry.
The vinyl is in Good condition. The vinyl is extremely glossy and on the whole plays through exceptionally well, extremely clear and vibrant with just a little background noise. There is however some wear on Holidaymaker and A Lesson Perhaps. The wear causes a 30 second loud hiss. It plays through the wear, it does not skip or jump and then continues to play bold, rich and clear. All other tracks have Very Good audio separation and clarity and this rare 1st press can still be played and enjoyed throughout.
The black and silver Fontana label is in Excellent condition. The matt black is solid and the silver text is sharp. There is only the slightest spindle wear.
The rare unlaminated flipback sleeve is in Very Good condition. This sleeve is signed on the back to Katie and Charlotte by the lead singer Peter Daltrey. This lightweight sleeve is still very solid and bright. The colours are vivid and the picture is sharp. There is a some light corner and edge wear and a couple of light corner creases. The rear of the sleeve does have some discolouration and a little wear to the flipbacks but it still very bright and clean. The whole sleeve is still solid.
