COVER: VG++ ~Bright, clean Gatefold UNIPAK cover has only lightest touch of wear.
"FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY" stamped on front. All edges straight; all corners sharp.
Seams and spine are excellent with faintest wear; no splits wear or splits.

VINYL: VG++ ~Side 1 has one spindle scuff; light enough to have virtually no effect on sound.
Side 2 is very close to NM. LP plays high VG++ to NM throughout.
Original 1968 WORLD PACIFIC labels are pristine.

Acid-drenched Sitar/Psych/Weird classic!

Unipak gatefold sleeve is in outstanding condition for its age and the notorious fragility
and quick demise of most unipak covers.

If you're a fan of Incredibly Strange Music, you probably know all about Kali.

Once you've heard this album, it's hard to forget.
with Sitar, Tabla, bells and drones behind her, Kali, "the gypsy Star Child" tells some amazing twisted and ummm... PSYCH stories about the Buddha, the Moon Child, robots from Pluto, gurus, and ...well, gee, Wally, I'm just not sure what she's talking about half the time.

The great thing about this album is that it makes NO SENSE AT ALL.
Ms. Bahlu (in a rather dazed L.A. surf-bunny voice) will start talking about how the Buddha is on a
coffee break, then suddenly exclaim "Don't suicide or murder in order to go home, cuz then you go to the
TWILIGHT ZONE!" ...With song titles like "A Game Called Who am I", "How Can I Tell My Guru" and
"a Cosmic Telephone Call from The Angel Leisle and The Buddha", you know something wonderfully
odd is going on.

Even though she seems to take herself quite seriously and probably considers all of this pretty profound, she clearly has been communing with Lucia Pamela, under the care of Dr. Eugene Landry.

Oh! and she's not done talking!!
Inside the gatefold is lot of text written under
"THE MAGICAL MECHANICAL DOLL REVEALS HER STORY"
~which, while not as stream-of-consciousness as her recitations on the disk,
are still pretty deep in the outer orbits.

There's even an explanatory "legend" printed next to that, telling us
exactly who each the characters on the front cover are:

"Devil's Girl" - "LaMurian King" - "Moon Princess" - "Gypsy Space Pilot"
 and on and on... She knows, because she painted the cover art herself.
