Bands like Karma To Burn really seem to be a rare bird these days. Not only have they been around for two decades churning out impressively heavy stoner rock, they’ve done so primarily as an instrumental band. For most bands of their ilk, vocals tend to be one of the most important facets of their game and how they stay original, but K2B has managed to take that focus on what makes vocals so memorable and transferred it solely into the riffs.   The riffs on this album are absolutely jaw-dropping at times. They twist and turn on a dime and are perfect for banging your head or stomping your foot or doing both, really. The riffs really are the sole focus for this band and on this album, they take on many different forms. Whether it be sludge, doom, stoner rock, or just bad ass rock n’ roll, Arch Stanton never once gets boring or feels like you’re listening to an instrumental album at all thanks to the way the riffs constantly swell and build tension and don’t let up from the time you hit play until the time it mercifully stops. ---Brandon Ring NewNoiseMagazine
