Title: Katamaran - Café Florian

Second record by german jazzrock/fusion group,original first pressing on PLÄNE JAZZ from 1978.Led by Wolf Burbat(flute/ARP/Polymoog/fender rhodes/piano),who formed the group in 1971;since the 80ies he has been professor at the music-universities of Berlin and Essen,he has written a standard teaching-book on jazz-harmonics.Besides him,the line-up incl. sax/guitar/bass/drums/percussion.5 long tracks,combining both funky fusion grooves and spheric krautjazz-moments.

The awesome percussion-player by the way is Waldemar Karpenkiel,who founded and played drums with KOLLEKTIV on their release on the BRAIN label in 1973,later he founded”Glatter Wahnsinn”(privately pressed LP on ANVIL 1980) and “Supersession”(released 2 LPs).

Definitely standing out of the bunch of germany’s 70ies fusiongroups,highly recommended!

Condition:the B-side looks and plays in mint-,the A-side has one tiny,superficial harmless hairline(only 0,2 inches/0,5 cm short),it is not sounding and the whole side plays in mint-.The laminated cover has intact seams and shows just a little shelfwear,a little part in the opening’s upper third is slightly bended,ex+.

Grading:this used record has been cleaned on a prof. cleaning machine.After that I playgraded it on a Rega Planar 9 with a Rega Super Elys moving magnet system and I also visually graded the record under a strong light.I give you a detailed description of both gradings.Only an unplayed record is mint,the highest grading for a used record is mint-! My basic gradings are:mint-ex-vg.As a free service,cleaned records are stored in a brandnew deluxe innersleeve and the cover will be placed in a brandnew PVC protection-sleeve!
