BABOOSHKA
VERY UNUSUAL & HIGHLY COLLECTABLE POLISH POST-CARD RECORD...WITH ENVELOPE.
Records which were unauthorised by the state controlled pressing plants in Poland during the years of the 'iron-curtain' were often pressed onto post-cards as a form of disguise.The post-cards usually showed very tacky or kitsch images, which had nothing to do with the music pressed onto them. They are now considered to be authentic collectors items and are in fairly high demand.
This one, which has the Kate Bush song 'Babooshka' pressed onto it shows a picture of cows in a woodland setting !There are some details in Polish on the back, but I can only make out the artists name & song title. R-1074 is perhaps a catalogue number.The back of the envelope has similar details. This has a picture of a flower on the front. (very cunning !)
The postcard looks in mint condition.The envelope is in excellent condition.
I have been a record trader for over 20 years and I would say that my grading of records (ie judging the condition of records such as mint vg good etc.) is accurate 99% of the time (nobody's perfect!)
