THE SENSUAL WORLD will appeal to those who like their pop seasoned with some world music. During the '80s, some of Kate Bush's most successful collaborations were those with Peter Gabriel ("Games Without Frontiers," "Don't Give Up"), and Gabriel's habit of appropriating world music must have certainly rubbed off. THE SENSUAL WORLD combines the best of Kate Bush's jazzier elements with contributions by some of the most accomplished musicians in the world. Featured artists include violinist Nigel Kennedy, Davey Spillane, Trio Bulgarka, Eberhard Weber, and her brother, multi-instrumentalist Paddy Bush.THE SENSUAL WORLD covers familiar Kate Bush territory--love, growing up, and the mystery of life. Kate produced THE SENSUAL WORLD with orchestra arrangements by Michael Kamen. Standout tracks include the title track, which was adapted from Joyce's ULYSSES, as well as "Love and Anger" and "Walk Straight Down the Middle." An added treat is "This Woman's Work," a song featured in John Hughes' movie SHE'S HAVING A BABY.
The record has extremely minimal light/faint surface marks/paper scuffs(all barely noticeable hairline/superficial marks!). Both labels are clean and have the very faintest of spindle marks. Looks barely played. It grades near mint condition.
The inner lyric sleeve has one very small light crease and two corners with a little bit of wear on them. No tears or splits and grades excellent plus condition.
The main sleeve has no edge wear. No corner wear. Crisp corners. The very very faintest of ring wear/rubbing marks(barely noticeable). One very small light crease near the bottom left corner(barely noticeable). No splits. No tears. It grades excellent plus condition.
