Description
This is the super-rare 1955 LP by KATHERINE DUNHAM entitled "Katherine Dunham Presents Drum Rhythms of Haiti Cuba Brazil: The Singing Gods" released on Audo Fidelity Records as AFLP 1803 (this is an original pressing). This is one of the rarest records of collectible Percussive Exotica. The record is in overall excellent condition, being part of a collection purchased from the estate of an exotica collector in 2022 (more titles will be listed shortly). The cover is a fold-open gatefold that is perfectly intact with no seamsplits or frayed corners with just a small amount of age discoloration or spotting on the white background rimming on the front cover. The back cover is a plain gray with no artwork and a faint handwritten "5.95 and three hard-to-read letter (see last pictures) The record itself is still in its original plastic inner sleeve. The record plays a fairly strong VG++ and is still shiny black with a few marks visible under a light. This LP pops up every few years but usually in lesser condition.
