From the archive of noted James Brown historian, Alan Leeds. This is a super rare test record of Federal 12550, a 1969 single James Brown produced for gospel singer Kay Robinson. Notably, the rhythm section on these sessions consisted of BOOTSY COLLINS (bass), PHELPS "CATFISH" COLLINS (guitar) and DON JUAN "TIGER" MARTIN (drums) - all soon to become members of Brown's own J.B.'s band!  Test pressings were only distributed to King Records and James Brown Productions execs thus pressed in very small numbers. Few survived as most were eventually scrapped so they can be considered very rare.Plain yellow label.......release number and titles hand written in blue ink.
