Description
Kendra Smith/David Roback/Keith Mitchell ?– Fell From The Sun/Freight Train/Grains Of Sand 12" EP (Rough Trade RTT 129)
Kendra Smith, David Roback & Keith Mitchell had recorded as Clay Allison and would soon become Opal (with Roback turning Opal into Mazzy Star). This UK Rough Trade 12" differs from the US Serpent/Enigma EP in that it drops "All Souls" and "Lullabye" (both of which would reappear on the Early Opal LP and CD) and replaces them with a beautiful cover of Elizabeth Cotton's "Freight Train", which would not appear on any Opal release!LP is MINT-/Cover is MINT TO MINT-.
This is a beautiful record made all the more so by the presence of this wonderful lost song.
Tracks are
Side 1
1. Fell From The Sun 4:26
2. Freight Train 1:40
Side 2
1. Grains Of Sand 5:43
A quick note about international postage rates: In 2013 & again in 2016 the US Postal Service significantly raised the cost of shipping packages (to everywhere outside the US). With my shipping prices I try to do my best to reflect accurate shipping costs & packaging material (I do try to be responsible & recycle when I can). I know that international buyers have seen these greater costs in buying from the states and I want to apologize and simply state that the US Postal Service is struggling to break even in the wake of evaporating traditional mail traffic and that costs those who still mail packages.
