Up for bids is a great, rare mono Jazz LP by Kenny Dorham called "Jazz Contrasts". Riverside Records. RLP 12-239. 1957.
Featuring Sonny Rollins on tenor sax.
ORIGINAL PRESSING ON THE 92MM BLUE & SILVER RIVERSIDE LABELS! Probably pressed between 1958 to 1960.
NO "INC." ON LABELS!
DEEP GROOVE PRESSING!
Front of cover is laminated.
NOTE: The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is in Good+ to VG Minus condition. Front looks nice some minor wear. Top right corner has a small tear. Back of cover has some wear and staining by the top and opening edges. Top of cover has a 7" split at opening. Both bottom corners and top corner at opening have dings. Spine looks okay with some checking and minor tears in spots. Cover has a slight curve to it. Still a nice looking example of this cover.
I would rate the record’s condition as VG Minus. Has some marks and some scratches that won't greatly affect play. Not much wear either. Labels look pretty nice with some spindle wear. Record sounds great on my player!
