Description

Japanese re-issue of MATADOR features Dorham on trumpet along with Jackie McLean on alto, Bobby Timmons on piano, Teddy Smith on bass and J.C. Moses on drums.  The album was recorded five years after Kenny completed a 21 day tour of South America in 1961 with fifteen other top jazzmen as part of Monte Kay's First American Jazz Festival.  The record is Very Good Plus and the cover is Very Good plus with a small crease on the lower right corner.  There is no OBI strip however there is an insert with pictures of other great jazz albums reissued on the UA label.
