Description

VERY rare sixties northern soul masterpiece 45 featuring KENNY HAMBER and THE HITCH HIKERS on the MEAN label out of Philadelphia from the mid to late sixties.  Titles are “LET’S DO THE CAMEL WALK” and “CAMEL WALK.”   

 

Catalog number is Mean 200.  Label is green with black print.  “Virtue” is etched in the trailoff along with the matrix number. 

 

This awesome record is so scarce I could not find any documented sales on the popsike website.  It is so rare Kenny doesn’t own a copy according to an interview that took place several years ago.   Side A features Kenny on vocals, and Side B is simply the instrumental tracks with no vocals.

 

Condition is flawless NEAR MINT.  Plays beautifully, as you can hear in the sound clip provided below.  Labels are clean and pristine. 

 

Guaranteed to be authentic and original.  I do not sell bootlegs or reissues.  This copy turned up at a house sale in dear old Baltimore, Kenny’s home town, still in its original brown paper sleeve.  This is the first copy I have seen in 25+ years as a collector and dealer.
