MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND Capitol Records very first Stereo press released by Capitol Records, made by Sociedad Chilena De Ediciones Musicales, SOCHEM M.R. and distributed in Chile in 1981 by EMI Odeon Chilena S.A., licensed from Liberty Records, USA, catalog number 22036, with hand etched matrix numbers 26801A in Side A and 26801B in Side B, with red/black Capitol Records labels. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!! Amazing rarity for all Kenny Rogers lovers, fans and collectors!!!

The first to tell about this MEGARARE EP of Kenny Rogers is that it was RELEASED ONLY IN CHILE and as you can see it also has an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, pink-tinted, which shows Kenny Rogers on stage, a picture never used by any other Kenny Rogers issue!!! Both front and back covers keep the same artwork, with EP and song titles written in Spanish only, with the only differences that in back cover it’s the Capitol Records logo and catalog number and at the bottom it’s the information about this Chilean issue. It’s interesting to notice that in back cover it’s informed that record was made by Sociedad Chilena De Ediciones Musicales, SOCHEM M.R., and distributed by EMI Odeon Chilena S.A., but in labels it’s informed that it was made and distributed by EMI Odeon Chilena S.A. This record plays at 33 1/3 rpm. In labels EP title isn’t informed and songs titles are written in Spanish, translated to English (except “Lady”), with full credits for songwriters and producer. WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX- or EX condition, it’s slightly textured, with some faint creases, light ring marks, some wear in corners, a name written in front cover and some few faint blemishes but complete and without seam splits. The record is in VG+ or EX- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with scuffs and some soft hairlines and very soft scratches, which don’t affect play. Labels on both sides are in great EX or EX+ condition, clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear, a name written in both labels and a factory fault, both labels are over-printed, but it’s very slight, so it’s hard to see at first sight. The sound is in great EX- or EX both sides, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), only some soft crackles more evident in the more silent parts, which don’t really affect the experience to listen and enjoy this record from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE PRESS and will satisfy any serious collector!!! And don’t forget the UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, UNIQUE SONG TITLES WRITTEN IN SPANISH ONLY in cover and the most important facts, THIS EP of Kenny Rogers WAS RELEASED ONLY IN CHILE and Kenny Rogers sing all songs in Spanish!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

_________________________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

IMPORTANT TO READ

We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I always declare the records as gift.

If you have some doubt or question feel free to contact us, we will be glad to answer all that you want to know about this item.
