Description
HERE is the earliest possible pressing you can find of Shooting At The Moon by Kevin Ayers and The Whole World on original vinyl. With mother stampers of 1-G/1-G, this copy would have come from the very first batch to have been pressed by Harvest in 1970.
The first press pre-EMI Harvest labels are in VG- condition with no writing, rips or sticker tears; close examination under strong halogen lighting shows moderate spindle marks but no spindle wear.
Both sides of the vinyl, with first pressing A-2G and B-2G matrices endings, are in VG- condition with various light handling and sleeve withdrawal marks but certainly no deep or feelable scratches.
The first press front laminated single flipback sleeve is also in VG- condition, pretty presentable but with various small blemishes here and there (a stray ink mark, creasing, crumples in the lamination) which I have highlighted in my photos.
This is a rare chance to obtain one of the first available copies of Shooting At The Moon, right from the very first batch to leave the factory back in 1970.
Thanks for looking and good luck if you are bidding.
PLEASE NOTE: I carefully pack vinyl with records removed from covers.
