DESCRIPTION
Kevn Kinney - “Macdougal Blues” Island Records 91331-1 (Stereo) from 1990. Hard to find Original First Pressing Limited Edition Translucent Vinyl Indie / Alternative / Blues / Folk / Pop Rock Solo Album from Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ frontman Kevn Kinney. Produced by Peter Buck of R.E.M. and featuring backing from Buck, fellow R.EM. member Mike Mills, Buren Fowler, Tim Nielsen and Jeff Sullivan (all from Drivin’ N’ Cryin’), John Keane, David Blackmon, Nita Karpf, Sue Kinney, Joel Morris, Moira Nelligan, George Norman, Barbara Panter-Connah, Kyle Pilgrim and Jennifer Sproul. More Acoustic / Folk / Blues oriented than the harder rock of Drivin’ N’ Cryin'. Limited Edition in the Original Cover. This is a First Pressing (and I believe a Direct Metal Master) and is pressed on Vinyl that appears Black but is Translucent Brown when held before a strong light - I think it is probably an Audiophile type vinyl like Quiex II or possibly KC 569 Blend Premium Virgin Vinyl. The LP is marked as a Promo and I understand that many record companies during this era would make small initial runs on Audiophile Vinyl that were sent to Radio Stations so I think that might be what this is.
CONDITION
The Sleeve is in nice shape. There is some very slight shelf wear and corner softening. There is a crease in the lower right corner. There is a promo sawcut in the upper left corner and a gold promo stamp on the back. Super solid with no splits, stains, tears, writing, etc. and would rate EX overall. The Vinyl is in pristine Glossy condition looking barely played and possibly Unplayed. If you look closely you can spot a few light scuffs but still very close to New condtion and easily Near Mint. The labels are also Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
