Description

Here is a lovely original UK stereo copy of the highly regarded and much sought after Space Shanty by Khan from 1972 on the heaviest first pressing Deram label (SDL-R 11) with first pressing 1W/1W matrices and earliest 1/1 mother stampers. This is not therefore the floppy lightweight reissue but the much more solid first pressing vinyl, giving great depth to the spacey music from this accomplished LP by Steve Hillage, Nick Greenwood and Dave Stewart - "a heavy spacey brand of jazz-rock ... that's worth investigation by ageing hippies everywhere" (Tapestry of Delights). Three lengthy spaced out improvisational workouts on each side. This lovely well cared for first pressing record is in solid VG+ condition (UK Record Collector grading) with no marks apparent in natural light and hardly any surface marks visible even when viewed under harsh halogen light. Both labels are bright and clean with no unwanted writing, stains or tears. The unlaminated first pressing Robert stace gatefold sleeve is a comfortable VG showing some ringwear (see photos) but is otherwise in strong well looked after condition with no creasing, tears or unwanted writing. The spine and opening edge are also in above average condition for this vulnerable sleeve.

Good luck if you are bidding and any queries - just ask (I don't broadcast questions). Also please note that I will decline any buy-it-now requests so that watchers and would-be bidders can be sure that all auctions will run their course. Also if you are bidding from outside the UK please check with me first for postage rates etc. As you can see from the last of my pictures I'm starting to sell off my collection … and there are plenty of goodies to come. I'm adding them as soon as I can …
