I first purchased this on vinyl back in 1984. I thought this Canadian band, which never received that much MTV or radio airplay, was a fantastic metal band. The singer is excellent, and the band members are definitely proficient on their instruments. What makes this band great is the songs have strong melodies, but are not wimpy, unlike a lot of hair band music that came later in the decade. It's too bad this band didn't have more acclaim. Kick Axe was definitely one of the better metal bands to come out of the early '80s.
