This Blues biscuit just arrived here in a lot of 78's I recently purchased from the late Dan Coffey's estate. The famous Blues/Rockabilly collector and Teddy Boy, "Breathless" Dan Coffey, bought many thousands of records on his record buying trips here, traveling across the country in the 60's, with his last trip here in 1974, so you know that this record came from an old radio station, juke box operator or distributor and was shipped back to Ireland. Over the years many collectors tried to pick through these classic 45's and 78's that Coffey amassed with no luck. Recently Coffey's son Donal started selling off his late fathers records by lots and I won a lot that included this classic Chicago Blues disc. I would love to keep this one but it's time to pay the piper.
Up for auction is a rare Killer Blues platter by Charles Clark and Willie Dixon Band titled "Hidden Charms" b/w "Row Your Boat" on Artistic #1500 from 1958. Produced by Willie Dixon. CONDITION: Vinyl is visually E+, this copy was gently played a few times, a few light sleeve scuffs and one small superficial blemish noted on the A side. Just a lovely copy, Tefteller Quality. Plays like new. There are some light spindle marks visible on the labels in direct light. See scans. Housed in new gold paper sleeve. Only two 78 copies listed on Popsike. This is a 78 rpm, 10" record. All 78's shipped sandwiched between cardboard in a 12 x 12 x 4 box with packing material. NO RESERVE. GOOD LUCK.
