KING CRIMSON - 'IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING'
UK original 1st pressing on the more vivid coloured pink, textured ISLAND labels. ILPS-9111. STEREO. (1969). First issue A2/B2 matrix and UK 'E.J. Day, London' gatefold sleeve. Sleeve grades EXCELLENT (EX). Vinyl grades EXCELLENT PLUS (EX+).
Very nice copy. Similar examples sell for £500+ and near-mint examples can fetch over £1000!
Incredibly rare UK pressing with the more vividly coloured and textured pink 'i' labels. The slightly raised outer rim of each label is smooth. This indicates it as an early Polydor pressing.
ILPS 9111 A (upside down triangle) 2 1 4 & ILPS 9111 B//2 1 5 MATRIX NUMBERS.
The UK gatefold 'E.J. Day, London' sleeve grades full EXCELLENT condition. The only issue with this sleeve is the small sticker tear at the top right. The spine is slightly faded. No writing, No tip-ins, No repairs. No rips. No taped areas. No other faults whatsoever. Clean and solid condition with only the tiniest indication of age and light handling wear. Ever so slight indications of ring wear, however this barely notices. Spine text is all there and fully readable. Some light to moderate edge wear and light spine wear.
The glossy vinyl grades EXCELLENT PLUS (EX+) condition. There are no skips or jumps. Truly incredible clear sound and full mix. Some very light wispy marks that do not sound. Plays brilliantly with barely any background noise or static. Moonchild plays extremely well with very little noise.
No CD of this recording sounds as rich, warm or as impactful as the original UK vinyl in my opinion.

All my items are securely packaged into two heavy duty cardboard cruciform mailers to avoid damage. UK buyers - ignore the £4.50 cap on postage that eBay suggests on the listing. Royal Mail Special Delivery with full insurance to UK destinations will be £7.50.
I pay for my packaging materials, so I include the price of this with my postage rates. I pack all LP's in two heavy duty cardboard cruciform mailers with loads of brown parcel tape.
