** Original 1972 UK ISLAND A-1U / B-1U FIRST PRESSING vinyl LP, with BLACK LABEL and BLACK INNER SLEEVE **
A Very Good+ condition disc. Some light surface marks/very light scratches can be seen under a strong light - mainly from where the record has been taken out of the sleeve over the years. Very clean, shiny vinyl. No visible spindle marks. No skips, jumps, sticking, warps, deep scratches or writing on labels. Very clean labels on both sides. Excellent sound quality throughout, with very little surface noise (bearing in mind that this 'live' album was originally recorded on cassette tape, the quality of the original recording is not the greatest..) Tested on a Thorens turntable.
Sleeve in Very Good+ condition. "Printed and made by MacNeill Press Ltd." Some general wear, particularly to the lower edge. No seam splits anywhere. No writing. No creasing. One small white spot to front. Very little wear to spine, and all text still clearly legible.
Supplied with rare original BLACK INNER SLEEVE, which is in Very Good+ condition. No creasing. An 8cm seam split to one side. No writing anywhere.
GRADING:
All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:
MINT (M):
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
