Reportedly just a couple of thousand were sold with the pink label, to be followed with the pink rim palm tree label.
The heavy vinyl with high groovewalls provides a fantastic audio experience with channelling not equalled by the later CD version. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing Rotel amp and B&W three way speakers!!! A beautiful CLASSIC with supreme songcraft, a joy to listen to!!!!
Vinyl: VG++. I'm very happy to be able to present this gem in this great condition. It has a very luscious gloss. Only lightly played . The audio is simply sublime played on my Technics deck with Linn Sondek cartridge and through my rotel amp and B&W speakers. This really heavy vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic album that went largely unnoticed at the time. Just two wispy hairlines, not feelable and no impact on the audio. There are some paper retraction traces only visible under a strong light. Great replay on my premium sound system without any skips or jumps.The labels still retain their beautiful original appearance.
Gatefold Sleeve: VG+. Lovely colours and not any creases. Some storage wear on the edges and spine, (now 54 years old). The spine is only partly legible. The edges have moderate storage wear. No seam splits. The inside gatefold is nice. Some light edge creases to the rear. NO damage, NO tears , NO stickers , a lovely example of this beautiful classic prog album!
This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
