Description
This is one of the best examples of In the Court of the Crimson King I've had. It looks and sounds amazing. I have listened to this copy several times and I think that you would be very unlikely to find one sounding better than this.
I would play-grade the whole album as Near Mint (NM) except for some very tiny things in the quiet section of 'Moonchild'.

Detailed description:
Vinyl: The vinyl looks great and has retained its original high sheen with barely a mark to be seen. In normal light the playing surfaces look virtually flawless and even under bright, direct light there are just a handful of wispy hairlines and sleeve removal marks, but there is nothing significant anywhere. I have played the entire record several times and it sounds fantastic with almost nothing to report. Anyone reading this will know that this is a really hard album to find with perfect audio throughout, particularly in the very quiet tracks 'I Talk to the Wind' and the always-difficult 'Moonchild'. This copy plays cleanly throughout and is easily one of the best I've heard. For the sake of completeness, I would mention some very minor background noise in the silent grooves and the occasional solitary click, but for side one there is nothing else to add and even 'I Talk to the Wind' plays flawlessly, so I would have no hesitation to play-grade side one as Near Mint (NM). Like side one, almost all of side two would grade as Near Mint, except for a few very minor tics in the very quiet instrumental section of 'Moonchild', but I noticed these only because the track is so quiet, and I was specifically listening out for them. I expect that they would probably go unnoticed elsewhere on the album. These tiny issues aside, the rest of the audio on 'Moonchild' is beautifully quiet and I think it would be very hard to find another copy that plays this well. So, to take these minor issues into account I will play-grade side two overall as Excellent Plus (Ex+), although almost all of it is better than that. In the Court of the Crimson King is notoriously hard to find sounding superb throughout, mainly because of the extreme quietness of some of it, but I think it would be hard to find another copy as good as this one. Play-grade: side one = Near Mint (NM), side two = Excellent Plus (Ex+).
Cover: This is the original gatefold cover with the E.J. Day printer credit inside the gatefold. These are really hard to find in perfect condition, but this is a really nice example. There is some storage wear to the edges (mainly at the corners) but nothing significant anywhere and nothing that detracts from the overall appearance of the cover. There are no splits, tears or significant issues and this is definitely among the best I've seen of these original E.J. Day covers.
Detracting features not covered above: None. This is a superb example that would be hard to improve on.
