KING CRIMSON - " IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING ", Island Records (ILPS-9111) Stereo, 1969.
Extremely rare, UK first label, early pressing LP of the landmark debut King Crimson LP.
Original gatefold sleeve design and pink "i" label design mark out this earliest of issues, whilst matrix numbers denote one of the earlier pressings within this label design.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and put in a new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner has been retained for originality- see photo)
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT (No proper scratches, groove damage, excessive surface noise, distortion, etc. Clean labels with only the lightest of spindle trails. In daylight it looks perfectly clean, but a bright grading lamp reveals a few very faint paper scuffs and a couple of extremely faint superficial marks - as you would expect, these do not sound on playback. Plays very well indeed - strong, clear and without interruption from excessive clicks, crackles, etc... There's a minute amount of surface noise in the pressing during the silent run-in and in a couple of silences/quiet sections, but once the music starts, it disappears and it generally plays strong and clear without interuptions. Only had pretty light use in it's lifetime and has been well cared for. Not quite in museum piece territory, but still a great example or a rare original LP, ready play and enjoy as originally intended. Much much better than any inferior quality later pressing or a sterile CD reissue.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = EXCELLENT (No serious damage, no rips, no tears, no defacing, no heavy creases or heavy ring wear . Only showing the very lightest signs of wear to the corners and open edge, plus a few other occasional light scuffs.wear on the rear sleeve - see photos for further clarification)
