Description
You are bidding on a near mint copy of one of the holy grails of vinyl, King Crimson's First LP, In the Court of the Crimson King. This is a first pressing UK on Island records, with an A2/B4 matrix number. The LP plays very very well, with only a pop on the beginning of each side and a barely audible tick on the beginning of Moonchild. It grades visually as VG+ but plays much closer to VG++. The sleeve has some normal wear and tear on it, which can be seen in the pictures. The Spine has some tearing and the cover has a small sticker on the front upper left hand corner, as well as a mark from a marker about 1.5" on the middle left of the cover. The gatefold itself is also probably a VG+, notwithstanding the above-mentioned issues. It opens and closes without any issue. This copy does not have the original Island UK sleeve but does come with a new lined inner sleeve. The labels are in excellent condition, albeit a little faded over the last 42 years. All in all, a really beautiful copy of this holy grail!
