AN OBSERVATION BY KING CRIMSON
IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING
Side one really plays as n/m. It is as good as you will ever get. No background noise AT ALL. It even runs silently between the tracks.
Side two has the notorious MOONCHILD whose pressing has been much criticised. Here it plays with negligible crackle. Nothing serious.
The disc still retains its sheen . Quite remarkable really. Noe even the usual sleeve withdrawal scuffs so common on records over 40 years old.
The first press gatefold sleeve has no sign of ringwear, quite common in these non-laminated sleeves and the only thing I could pick fault with is some slight . wear at the corners You can see from the photos and judge for yourselves.
I play all my records in their entirety.
I DO NOT SAMPLE (i.e. guess) as to how they might sound.

as on the corners of the gatefold inner....
Always make sure that the sleeve has the correct basing street credit in the gategold. It is not unknown for sleeves to be exchanged. Only the very first issues had this credit.....
