KING CRIMSON IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING island 69 pink Lp EX Island Records, 1969, A2 B3 matrix. UK original with pink island label and EJDay gatefold sleeve. The SLEEVE is in nice condition, slight rubbing to the corners and very slight rubbing to bottom edge but generally very near ex, the LABELS are in lovely excellent condition, no writing at all, no defects, a few light spindle marks, mainly on side 2, the VINLY is visually very very near ex condition, just a few light paper withdrawal marks noticable under a lamp, generally the vinyl looks great , I am being cautious due to the value of the album. The album plays all the way through with great audio, no jumps, no sticks, the first track of side 2 there is some slightly noticable low level surface noise as the music is very sparse on this piece, however the rest of the record sounds breathtaking, of course the production of the Lp is superb and the dynamics of this original UK pressing are superb and legendary. the record has been played on a Linn LP12 Sondek turntable fitted with a goldring stylus , listened to through full range handmade wilmslow audio transmission line speakers that have superb response and definition on all frequencies
For accurate grading visual and play grade (like all my records)
this record has been professionally cleaned using an
okki nokki cleaning machine
( 1st clean with purified water and isoproranol alcohol and
finished off with L’art du son / purified water mix
the alcohol mix removes the release agent all records have from the manufacture stage , this hides detail in the sound
the l’art du son mix seems to smooth out any brittleness the alcohol water mix
