Description
King Crimson – In The Wake of Poseidon. Original UK Gatefold LP Issued in 1968 on original pink Island I logo label Stereo ILPS 9127. Matrix A1 / B1
For sale an exceptional copy of the studio progressive rock album by King Crimson titled "In The Wake Of Poseidon", Catalogue Number ILPS-9127. It's a 1970 UK stereo first issue on the Pink Island Record Label, with original E. J. Day Group textured 'oil painting effect' gatefold sleeve. It comes complete with the original pale blue poly-lined inner sleeve. The matrix numbers are A1 and B1
The sleeve is in EX condition with only light signs of wear to edges and no creases whatsoever. There is a small white scratch to front cover. There is a small sticker inside with the name of the original owner which I have not attempted to remove (see photos)
The top quality 155g record is in EX condition with only a few superficial sleeve-removal type surface marks evident under bright light. The Pink 'I' Island labels are unmarked and there are no spindle marks or any wear to the spindle hole. There is a small sticker to the label with the name of the original owner which I have not attempted to remove.
Both sides play excellently throughout with powerful and dynamic audio delivery. There are no loud pops or repeat clicks to spoil the listening experience. There is a bit of background noise which is noticeable during some of the quieter passages at the beginning of some of the tracks
All records are posted in purpose made cardboard LP record packaging for maximum protection as supplied by Music Max and this is reflected in postage and packing costs. However this guarantees a damage free delivery worldwide.
