KING CRIMSON - In The Court Of The Crimson King (1970) ILPS 9111
An excellent condition 2nd pressing copy of this 1970 UK release of the King Crimson rock classic.
The dead wax matrix numbers are :
Side 1 ILPS 9111 A-4U Side 2 ILPS 9111 B-4U
The appearance and overall condition of the flat and nicely weighted vinyl is excellent (EX). Each side is bright and retains its black sheen. Only under closer inspection and under bright light are the fine surface markings and paper scuffs visible. There are no 'feelable' marks.
The labels are excellent plus (EX+). With black text upon the white background with the pink rim and the iconic 'palm tree' Island logo. The only blemishes are just a vague outline of spindle marks.
The condition of the non-laminated gatefold sleeve is also excellent (EX). There is just some light wear to the edges and spine, and a small crease to the top right hand corner of the front. The inside artwork of the gatefold is nice and clean and unmarked.
The quality of the audio is excellent plus (EX+). Lovely tone and clarity throughout, even at higher volume. No repeats, sticks or clicks and I did not detect any surface noise during play. If there is a noise detectable on a more sophisticated hi-fi it will be very trivial. Every track plays brilliantly, from the thumping "21st Century Schizoid Man" right through to "The Court Of The Crimson King".
Comes with the original black 'Island Logo' inner sleeve with no rips or tears and remaining fully intact. Note: The record will be posted using a plain white replacement inner sleeve for shipping purposes in order to protect the original.

We always do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to grade our LP records accurately, but you must bear in mind that unless you are buying a vinyl record that is SEALED, or in NEAR-MINT condition, there will always likely be some type of surface sound, or background noise somewhere on the vinyl, better known as pops or light crackling. If an LP has been played a couple of times, it can never be perfect. This is especially noticeable in classical and jazz records, which have quiet passages. You are buying vinyl LPs because they sound better than CDs, however the pops and crackling come with an LP.
GRADES: Buyer satisfaction is very important, so we always try to describe items accurately and we always check condition under strong light so what we describe is what you get! Grades are based on the UK Rare Record Price Guide (RRPG) grading system. Suffixes (+) & (-) are also used to grade vinyl falling between 2 grades to try and give the most accurate description.
