THIS LP IS MEGA RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE RECORD...this is the ORIGINAL PINK "I" UK  1st pressing from 1969 and is in SUPERB condition!..The record is pressed on a slab of THICK black quality vinyl.

A eye-opening debut if ever there was one!! That bespectacled musical mage, Robert Fripp, indeed assembled a court of kings for this adventure: Michael Giles, Greg Lake, Ian McDonald, Peter Sinfield. Most would remain for Crimson’s next voyage, but already the band was writing their epitaph. With such a sense of urgency, the band takes pains to get it right the first time, and they do. In fact, beyond peradventure, no band had sallied forth into the forest for the first time and achieved this measure of fame on their return.

When the dust had settled, King Crimson was crowned rock’s new champion, ushering in a golden age of music where brute force and beauty commingle with the sounds of distant worlds. That such powerful songs could be rendered with as deft a touch was a revelation. Cream had aspired to this place with “Tales of Brave Ulysses,” the Moodies had sought to soar so high on their mellotron one “Tuesday Afternoon,” but both were revealed as pretenders to the crown by The Court of the Crimson King. The album also set the stage for the further adventures of ELP and the progressive paladins who followed.

THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPs ON THE PINK ISLAND LABEL - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1969 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS!!!!

AS YOU CAN SEE THE COVER IS IN GREAT CONDITION, SEE PICS!  TRY TO FIND ANOTHER COPY LIKE THIS ONE!!!  A FANTASTIC COLLECTOR'S COPY! COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL  1969 POLYLINED INNER SLEEVE IN EX CONDITION!

 Vinyl:  EX to EX+. A super copy!!! I have played this in full> There are NO jumps, NO clicks and NO sticks!!! Even under an intense light it looks great with only two of the wispiest of hairlines.  The audio is stunning all the way and this album sounds fantastic and was totally underrated at the time. It totally went under the radar and is now extremely scarce especially as a first issue on the extremely collectable Pink "I" Island label!! I have had this album a few times but this is the best I have ever come across!! The copy many are waiting for as an upgrade. 

Gatefold Sleeve: EX. UNLAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL E.J. DAY SLEEVE, NOT THE SLIGHTLY LATER "ROBOR" SLEEVE THAT IS OFTEN WRONGLY MARRIED TO THE VINYL!!!! IN LOVELY CONDITION REALLY CONSIDERING THAT THIS SLEEVE IS SO PRONE FOR WEAR. IT WILL WEAR BY SIMPLY LOOKING AT IT ... IT HAS A LITTLE PRICE STICKER DEPOSIT ON THE RIGHTHAND TOP. THERE IS NO TEAR!! THE DEPOSIT COULD BE STEAMED OFF IF SO DESIRED BUT I HAVE JUST LEFT IT LIKE I GOT IT. THE INSIDE GATEFOLD IS SIMPLY DIVINE. THE EDGES HAVE ONLY LIGHT RUBBING. THE PICTURES TELL ALL. THE SPINE IS FULLY LEGIBLE. ONLY ONE TINY CREASE NEAR THE OPENING.
THE SLEEVE ENTRANCE IS STRAIGHT AND SHARP.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! This album hardly sold at all. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Condition is what counts and this album really delivers, an upgrade for most collectors. A very hard album to find in any condition these days, leave alone in this EX condition. This album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price. How many would be left??? But in this great condition ....? Golddust!!
