KING CRIMSON: In The Court Of The Crimson King, UK Pink Rim Island pressing, ca. 1970. Extremely rare UK Pink Rim pressing on the ‘rough’ textured Island label, with heavy vinyl. This is a very sought after pressing, by some preferred over the thinner Pink Island pressings. A2, B3 matrixes. This pressing is on heavier vinyl than the standard Pink lbl pressings (excepting the very earliest with pressing with 2, 2 matrix ends, which appears similar to this one in terms of weight, vinyl quality and label texture). I’m not going to call it ‘twice as thick’ (as some do) – it’s probably 30-40 grams heavier. But definitely feelable. A great early UK pressing of a great LP.
VINYL is graded MINT-, just superb, barely played.
COVER is graded MINT-, nearly impossible to find like this! This is to be considered the 1st press cover, indentical to the ones that came with the Pink label. Later Pink Rim pressings have differently made covers! Comes with ‘correct’ orig polylined innersleeve in superb condition.

GRADINGS
- MINT- is superb, almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or anything else.
- EX is also VERY nice, 2-3 light marks perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality.
- VG+, a nice player, but probably has some visual impairments, and some clicks or light noise in places; always see the individual description.
- VG: Rarely put of for sale, an ok copy, but always see the individual description.
PLAYGRADING
I play-grade parts of or whole LPs to determine the actual sound-quality of the item. Palygrading is done on a quality system with an Linn LP12 as the main source.
SHIPPING
I SHIP IN BAND NEW CRUCIFORM shipping boxes with stiffeners & extra corner protection always added. .The boxes are slightly bigger than the normal LP-size, thereby providing good protection of corners and edges. I remove LPs from sleeves, in order to prevent seam-splits on transit.
