KING CRIMSON IN THE WAKE OF POSEIDON

This is a rare UK 1st press of ‘In The Wake Of Poseidon' by King Crimson. This genuine 1st press is complete with the rare earliest A1//B1 matrix, the earliest pink i label, the original blue Island inner sleeve and the earliest heavily textured bright EJ Day gatefold sleeve.
The record is in Very Good condition. The vinyl is still jet black, with a sensational bright gloss. There are a few wispy light marks on both sides and a couple of small marks at the start of Side Two.
The earliest pink i label is in Excellent condition. It is exceptionally bright and completely clean. The white is superb, the text is sharp and the pink is vivid. There is the slightest spindle wear. The vinyl is complete with the blue Island inner sleeve in Excellent condition.
When played the sound is sharp, vibrant and complete with the original bold audio separation. There is very slight hiss in the quieter moments and a couple of clicks on the marks but these do not spoil the enjoyment of this rare 1st press.
The EJ Day gatefold bright sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. This earliest sleeve is delicate and is easily worn, but this is a solid example. It is completely clean with the original vivid colours and sharp lines. The inside colours are bright, the silver lyrics are clear and the image is unworn. There is light edge and corner wear. The spine is firm with clear text and the whole sleeve is still very solid.
