Matrix : ILPS 9230 A-2U / B-2U Issue : UK 1st Press Pink Rim
This is the UK 1st press of 'Larks' Tongue In Aspic' by King Crimson. This scarce press is complete with the earliest pink rim Island label, the earliest A-2U/B-2U matrix and the 1st press matt heavy card sleeve.
The record is in superb Excellent condition. Every track looks superb, there are a couple of the very faintest hairlines on Side B, but the record can only have been played a handful of times. The labels are superb. The colours are bold and the white is crisp and bright. The text is sharp and there is only the slightest spindle wear. SARK is clearly engraved in the runout. The record looks and sounds fabulous. On playing the sound is rich, very warm and very clear. There are moments of slight noise but these are insignificant as it still sounds superb. It is complete with the original plain white inner sleeve also in Excellent condition.
The matt EJ Day sleeve is in Excellent condition. The colours are vivid, the white is exceptionally bright and the image is immaculate. There is just very slight edge wear and a little scuff on the top edge. The back of the sleeve is also bright, we have never seen one so clean, there are just a couple of light creases in the corner. The whole cover feels very solid and the spine is firm with sharp text.
